SOUTH SHORE — Two men were shot in an apparent pawn shop robbery in South Shore Friday morning, police said.
The men, 49 and 29, were both shot in a leg about 10:15 a.m. in the 1900 block of East 79th Street, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman. They were taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in stable condition and no one is in custody, Sedevic said.
The shooting occurred inside the “Cash $4 Gold” pawn shop at 1957 E. 79th St. according to several merchants on the block who said they were not surprised by the shooting.
