Giving the authorities the opportunity, with more time, to track stolen goods, Kokomo’s Common Council revised an ordinance Monday. The ordinance will require local pawnshops, as well as other secondhand dealers, to keep their new purchases that come into their shops for at least 10 days before putting them out on the floor for sale. In the past, Kokomo’s ordinance only required the hold be for 24 hours.
