It all started when 16-year-old, Chase Reed, needed a new lacrosse stick or money to go out to eat with his friends. Reed would ask his father for money and in return his dad would ask to hold on to his sneakers until he repaid him the money. Reed thought,
How many other sneakerheads in the world would want to pawn their sneakers but want to keep their collections? That’s how the first sneaker pawn shop in the world came about.
The sneakers in the shop, go back to the early ’90s. While staying grounded, Reed makes sure everyone who enters Sneaker Pawn feels invited when they walk through his doors, “There’s definitely a society here – We’re not only just a sneaker society; we’re a neighbor society.
